COLLI AMERINI
The landscape of Amerino is an area of great beauty, surrounded by rolling hills brightly colored by the varieties of plants and vegetables that grow here. The Amerino-Narnese hills pass through the entire area of Amelia and reach their maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level at the mountain called "Croce di Serra" (Greenhouse Cross?) The entire area is characterized by a harmonious progression of landscapes that resemble fresco paintings. Rising up halfway between Narni and Amelia, and between a plunge toward the valley and an ascent toward the hill, are the remains of an ancient rural home belonging to the prestigious family from which it gets its name, "Podere Urbani" (Urbani Farm), which dates back to the 15th century.
